Bob has been a Teamster member since 1986, working his way from the warehouse of Tamco Distributors as a shop steward, to an elected business agent for Local #377 in 1991.
In 1998, Bob became the Principle Officer of Local 377 and has had two uncontested elections since. Bob is also an elected trustee on Joint Council #41, and Delegate to the Ohio Conference.
Bob is an alumnus of Youngstown State University; in 1988, Bob earned an Associates degree in Labor Studies and a Bachelors degree of Arts in Labor Relations in 1990.
Bob and his wife Mary Kay have been married for fourteen years; they have one child, 8-year-old Zachery.
Chris and his wife Ruthann, an IUE member, have been married for 16 years and have two daughters: Amber, a 14 year old, and Alexa, an 11 year old. Chris was born and raised in Austintown. Unionism is in his blood. His father worked at local steel mills, his grandfather retired USWA, and his uncle retired from UAW. His father-in-law is the current Conference Board Secretary for the IUE.
Chris began his career as a Teamster at R.L. Lipton in 1987. He later became Shop Steward and helped negotiate some of the best agreements in that company's history. He is a 1982 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, attended YSU, and completed courses in Union Leadership from Ohio State University in 1989.
Chris was elected to serve as President of Local 377 in 1999. He has also received appointments on the Ohio Bakery Negotiating Committee, serves on the IBT Bakery and Laundry Policy Committee, and serves on the OCT and IBT Brewery and Soft Drink Conferences. In 2001 he was elected by the membership to serve as a delegate at the IBT Convention, where he received an appointment from James P. Hoffa to serve on the Convention Floor as a Whip to the General President. He is also a delegate to the AFL-CIO's in Mahoning and Trumbull counties. He also has been recently elected President by the members of Chapter 1 of the Teamsters Horseman Motorcycle Association and asked to serve on the Northeaster Ohio Board of Directors for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Chris is a member at IHM Roman Catholic Church, an avid sportsman, and a national and local member of H.O.G.
Larry and his wife, Sandy, have been married for 20 years and have two sons, Larry, Jr., 18 and Christopher, 13. They reside in Ellsworth.
Larry is a 1967 graduate of Ursuline High School. He has also served in the U.S. Army and is a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He also attended YSU, as well as many union training conferences, while working at UPS.
Larry started his career as a Teamster in construction at the A.J. Baltes Company when they constructed State Route 11. He was with UPS for 27 years, serving 17 years as Shop Steward and 9 years as a Trustee at the Local.
Larry was elected to serve as Vice President and Business Agent in 1999. In 2001 he was elected by the membership as a Delegate to the IBT Convention.
Larry enjoys spending time with his family, is a member of V.F.W. Posts 9571 and 3538. He is also a member of the ITAM.
Ken was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. His parents, David & Nancy Norris still reside on Youngstown's north side where Ken graduated from Ursuline High School in 1977.
Prior to being elected by the membership as Recording Secretary of Local 377, Ken worked at Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital in the maintenance department for 22 years. While employed at the hospital, Ken was active as a Shop Steward, then as Chief Steward. He also sat on the negotiating committee for 16 years. After accepting the position of Recording Secretary in 1999, Ken attended the Teamster Leadership Academy in Washington, DC. In 2006, the membership elected Ken to serve as a Delegate at the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Convention. He is a Trustee on the Teamster Health & Welfare Board of Directors.
Ken enjoys fishing, golfing, and working around his house. He is very proud of the fact that in December 2005 he celebrated his 30th year as a teamster member of Local 377.
Ray and his wife, Darlene, have been married for 22 years and have two daughters, Danielee, 21, and Nicole, 11. He has lived his entire life in Hubbard and graduated from Hubbard High School in 1976. Ray earned a degree from the Truck Driving Development Services in 1979.
Ray began his career as a Teamster in 1979. A 22-year Teamster he served as Shop Steward at Jack Gibson for 12 years. He was elected by the members to serve as a Business Agent in 1999. Ray attended the IBT Leadership Academy in 2000. He was appointed as a Delegate for Mahoning County AFL-CIO and the Trumbull County Federation of Labor where he was elected in 2000 to serve as the Sergeant-at-Arms. He has also been appointed to the OCT Heavy Highway Agreement Negotiating Committee. In 2001 he was elected by the membership to serve as a Delegate at the IBT Convention.
Ray enjoys the outdoors and working out. He is a member of the K. of C. and St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church.
Jim has lived his entire life in Ashtabula. His father, a truck driver for Linde Air for 30 years, is a retired Teamster. He graduated from Edgewood High School in 1971.
Jim started his career as a Teamster in 1978 at Ashtabula Salvage/Hercules Steel. He served as their Shop Steward for 10 years. He then went to work at Praxair in 1990 and served on their 1990 negotiating Committee. In 1997 he was laid off at Praxair and began working at Koski Construction.
Jim was elected by the membership to serve as Business Agent in 1999. He attended the IBT Leadership Adademy in 1999. He has been appointed to serve as a Delegate to Ashtabula County AFL-CIO where he was elected to serve on the COPE Committee. He was elected by the membership in 1991 as a Delegate and again in 2001 to serve as an Alternate Delegate at the IBT Convention.
Jim has also served as Pact Precinct Chairman of Ashtabula Township #3, and as President of East Ashtabula Club.
Gail Trina is a 1974 graduate of Western Reserve High School in Warren, Ohio, and comes from a solid union family. She also attended the University of Akron. Her husband, Sam is self-employed as a hairstylist in a family owned business that has been in existence since 1954. Sam also is Director of Music at St. Pius X Parish and a free-lance musician. Sam and Gail have been married for 30 years and are parents of a son Jamie and daughter Angela. Jamie is employed at Seven Seventeen Credit Union and the Warren Tribune Chronicle. He is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a Bachelor's of Arts and Sciences in English, with a minor in Journalism. Daughter Angela graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 2002 after overcoming cancer. Angela has been in remission for four years and is currently employed at Infocision in Austintown, Ohio.
Gail has been employed at St. Joseph Health Center for 13 years, and has been a Shop Steward for Teamsters Local #377 for six years. In her experiences, Gail has participated in various courses such as Union Counselor classes and Steward classes, which helped in her education of employer/employee issues. She also was involved in the negotiations for the last contract with St. Joseph Health Center. These experiences and courses have allowed Gail to become a notable Union Representative amongst her co-workers, and she recently accepted a Trustee position with Local #377. One of the greatest experiences for Gail was a trip to the Teamsters Women's Conference in Orlando, Florida. Gail will take to the road again in 2005 when she heads north to Niagara Falls to once again take part in the Women's Conference. Gail believes that women belong in their union and should strive to be a voice in their workplace.
Gail's interests lay heavily on those dearest to her, such as family and friends. Other interests include Relay for Life and her lovable Maltese, Maggie.
Doug and his wife, Melody, have been married for 12 years. He has four sons: Mike, 20, Chris, 17, and twins, Alex and Andrew, 9. He was born in Youngstown and graduated from Hobart High School in Indiana. He attended YSU and ATES Tech.
Doug has worked at St. Elizabeth's Health Center since 1975. He became a volumteer organizer in 1997 and serves as St. E's Chief Steward. He has also served on both of their negotiating committees. In 2000 he was appointed to serve as Trustee. He has served as a Delegate on the Trumbull County AFL-CIO. In 2001 he was elected by the membership to serve as an Alternate Delegate at the IBT Convention.
